Why I Do This
As a mother who breastfed all of my children, I’ve experienced firsthand the incredible joys and the unexpected challenges that breastfeeding can bring. I know how overwhelming those early days can feel, and I also know how much the right support can make a difference.
Becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant allowed me to combine my personal experience with evidence-based education so I can help families navigate their unique feeding journey with confidence.
As a bilingual IBCLC, I proudly provide lactation support in both English and Spanish so every family feels heard, understood, and supported.
I believe caring for a baby begins with caring for the whole family. When parents feel supported, informed, and confident, babies thrive too. My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where families feel heard, informed, and empowered throughout their feeding journey. Every family is unique, and my goal is to meet you where you are.
Whether you’re preparing to breastfeed, welcoming a new baby, overcoming feeding challenges, or returning to work, I’m here to walk alongside you with encouragement, practical guidance, and personalized care every step of the way. It would be an honor to be part of your family's feeding journey.
Warmly,
Jessica Ruiz, BA, IBCLC
